FXStreet makes regular donations to a series of NGO’s in Spain, whose work and objectives we admire and want to support. We wanted to share with you their names and mission, in case you want to have a look and maybe make a donation yourself!
Aldeas Infantiles SOS España (SOS Children’s Villages)
SOS Children’s Villages (Aldeas Infantiles SOS in Spanish) is an independent, non-governmental international development organisation which has been working to meet the needs and protect the interests and rights of children since 1949. It was founded by Hermann Gmeiner in Imst, Austria. Its international umbrella organisation, SOS-Kinderdorf International, was founded in 1960. Over a hundred national associations across the world have since been established.
Médicos Sin Fronteras (Doctors Without Borders)
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) or Doctors Without Borders, is a French-founded (now international and federal) independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. Its headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland.
Cruz Roja Española (Red Cross)
The ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) was established in 1863 and works worldwide to provide humanitarian help for people affected by conflict and armed violence and to promote the laws that protect victims of war. An independent and neutral organization, it’s also based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Fundación Babel – Punto de Encuentro
Babel is a smaller independent and non-profit foundation of solidarity, social and cultural nature. It’s made of 2 workers, 15 volunteers, 10 members of the board of directors and 140 partners, who daily join forces to contribute to personal and social development of immigrants and residents. They develop specific projects in Senegal, in the neighborhood of Sam Sam in Dakar. The Foundation is located in Catalunya.
