Chief European Forex Analyst

Barcelona, Spain

Description

The Chief European Forex Analyst will be part of an international team responsible for covering the Forex market, related assets and economic events. You will lead the editorial team to cover insightful information selecting the main topics moving the market. You will also lead the team to present those topics in a way that helps traders in their daily operations.

You need to have an ability to translate complex economic events into a clear view of the market using different tools, analysis and news created by the team and reporting new needs. You should be able to analyze the competition and be able to lead the editorial team to help FXStreet in continuing growing as the main FX source for traders.

Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the editorial team to coordinate the coverage of main assets and economic events.
    • Monitor and interpret major economic events identifying market trends affecting the FX arena.
    • Follow company developments and send requirements to development teams for tools or widgets needed to explain economic events.
    • Guide and collaborate with journalists and contributors for editorial needs.
    • Interact with traders and industry contacts to gather feedback and generate ideas.
    • Work with Fundamentals & Economic Statistics as well as the web analytic team to ensure data completeness and quality control for existing and new developments.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external market professionals and internal departments.
    • Produce chart, written and live analysis to follow market events and present to traders.

Requirements:

    • 2+ years of finance market research and analysis experience, specializing in the Forex sector.
    • Other related assets knowledge is a plus.
    • Experience interpreting financial statements and economic events affecting the FX market and performing quantitative financial analysis.
    • Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of Forex and related assets.
    • Exceptional primary research and writing skills.
    • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
    • Self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player.
    • Strong organization skills and capable of handling multiple projects.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • Web knowledge and understanding of Google analytics is a plus.
