FXStreet’s Ping Pong Tournament

Trofeu Conde de Riverola“, it’s how our Head of Content, Pere Monguió, called the Ping Pong Tournament that he organized in our office in the last weeks – a humoristic reference to “Trofeo Conde de Godó”, a famous Tennis tournament now called “Barcelona Open”… changing “Godó” for “Riverola”, the surname of the founder of FXStreet, Francesc Riverola 😉

There were initially 4 groups of 5 players, the first two winners of each group would go to quarterfinals, then semifinals and the final. We have a big table in one of our meeting rooms, and we can quickly install a table tennis net on that table. That’s where the matches were played among staff members, any day they both had a free moment, during 4 weeks or so.

The final took place today. To make it a small event, we moved the table in the middle of one of our open spaces and everyone went to watch it. It was an exciting match between two members of our IT team: Javier Hertfelder and Alain López. Alain won 1:2. The prize? A set of beach rackets to practice this summer 🙂

Here are a few pictures…
